Lotus Herbals WhiteGlow Skin Whitening and Brightening Hand & Body Lotion: Review

After getting satisfied with the Lotus Herbals White Glow gel, I wanted to try another product from the White Glow range. Since my hands are badly tanned I wanted a body lotion which has SPF in it.When I saw that this Lotus one had an SPF of 25 in it, I went ahead and purchased this. Prior to this, I was using only Vaseline body lotions. Let’s see how well it has worked out for me.

Directions:

My take on the product:

Packaging: Lotus Herbals White Glow Hand and Body Lotion comes in a big white opaque plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. It is quite bulky, so you cannot carry it with you but it is convenient and hygenic packaging to use.

Consistency: The lotion is white in color and the consistency is slightly thick but it is not that hard to blend.

Fragrance: It has a mild fragrance which is not overpowering at all and vanishes after a few minutes.

Moisturization: It does provide a decent amount of moisturization to the skin. I feel that the product is not as moisturizing and lightweight as the vaseline lotions maybe because of the SPF.

As it is given in the “Directions to use”, it absorbs well into the skin and seals in the moisture when applied on damp skin right after bath. It is also easy to blend when it is applied on skin. When applied on dry skin, it takes little more effort to blend and doesn’t feel as moisturizing as on the damp skin.

It has an SPF 25| PA+++ which is a major advantage of this product. It is comfortable to use one product instead of using a lotion and a sunscreen.

Coming to the claim of skin whitening, lightening and brightening I don’t really see a difference on my skin. May be because my hands are that badly tanned. It says that there will be visible results within 7 days of use and I don’t see any results but I’m quite okay that I bought it only for the SPF in it.

What I like about the Product:

• Hygenic packaging
• Blends effortlessly on damp skin.
• Provides decent moisturization to the skin especially on damp skin
• Mild Fragrance which is not overpowering
• SPF 25 PA++
• The product would last for a long time

What I don’t like about the product:

• I feel that the product is little heavy when applied on dry skin
• Not travel friendly
• I don’t see the claim of lightening and brightening working out for my skin

Will I repurchase it: I don’t think so. This product would last me for more than a month. I would look for other alternatives with SPF.
